The finance industry finds itself in an unprecedented moment. Markets are split, some sectors are reporting record profits while others require influx of capital to stay afloat. Sam Greene, head of the debt and restructuring advisory practice at Centerview Partners joins the Adam Smith Society for a conversation the spans the markets, current fed policy, and impending regulatory changes, to the deal landscape.
Sam Greene joined Centerview Partners as a partner in 2011 to establish its restructuring and debt advisory practice, which he co-heads. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Greene was a Managing Director and founding member at Miller Buckfire & Co. and a member of the financial restructuring group of its predecessor, Wasserstein Perella & Co., which he joined in 1997. He has led numerous restricting, financing, and M&A assignments throughout his career. Mr. Greene is a member of several notable charitable organization in New York and serves on the National Council of the American Enterprise Institute. He received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
